The FTP Movement is where theory meets practice— minus the empty rhetoric, mindless activism and fashionable militancy. The organization views the Liberation Struggle as an ongoing process with reachable goals that could be met through consistent dedication. With members spreading across the nation, FTP’s foundation is built on love, respect, loyalty, discipline and principled unity. Their mission is to raise political awareness, and engage and inspire people to take an active role in building the community.

FTP represents globally, with active chapters in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Oakland, San Diego, Jacksonville, Denver and Newark, NJ. The movement’s list of supports include members of Public Enemy, Arrested Development, Dead Prez, The Welfare Poets and a bevy of independent artists around the country.

STAND UP FOR TROY. DATES TO REMEMBER: 
The International Day of Solidarity for Troy Davis  will be Friday, September 16. Groups are encouraged to organize an  activity of any scale that day. In Atlanta, we will march from Woodruff  Park at 6pm to Ebenezer Baptist Church (Dr. MLK’s church) for an  interfaith service there at 7pm.
The clemency hearing has been set  for Monday, September. 19, which is when petitions will be submitted. A  prayer vigil will be held DURING hearing proceedings beginning at 8am in  front of the Sloppy Floyd Building 2 Martin Luther King Jr Dr.  SE. Atlanta, GA 30334. Supporters are encouraged to come  out.
The Grassroots International Rally to Stop the Execution of Troy  Davis is Tuesday, September 20 – organizations and supporters are  encouraged to organize a rally of any scale on that day in their  respective cities. In Atlanta, we will be holding our rally at 6pm at  Woodruff Park downtown.
